Sermon Outline

1. A little boy who was "less than"

2. Blind Bartimaeus of Jericho - a man who is "less than"

3. Bartimaeus recognizes Jesus by seeing with his heart

4. "Your faith has made you well"

5. Bartimaeus follows Jesus on the way - up from Jericho, the lowest place (-846')

6. The "less than" little boy meets a man of God who sees with his heart

7. The little boy decides he wants to be a man of God

8. His name - Desmond Tutu, who encourages people around the world to follow Jesus on the way

9. When we are "in Jericho," the lowest place with no vision for coming redemption

10. Re-tune our vision to see with the heart

11. And know that Jesus draws near to lead us "up from Jericho"
