On Sunday, July 5, 2026, emmanuel-sa in San Angelo will observe "1776 Sunday" for both morning services. Written and announced by Rector fr-matt, this special liturgical event will use the historic English Book of Common Prayer of 1662.

This traditional liturgy would have been deeply familiar to the 32 signers of the Declaration of Independence who were members of the Church of England. Seekers, history buffs, and military families stationed at Goodfellow AFB are warmly invited to step back in time and experience this reverent, traditional service in the heart of the Concho Valley.
