Emmanuel was the host venue as the San Angelo Chapter of the American Guild of Organists hosted a splendid birthday bash in honor of the 341st birthday of Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). The featured musical instrument was Emmanuel's 36 rank pipe organ, revised in 2017 by Garland Pipe Organs of Fort Worth.
Most of San Angelo's church organists, including our own Denise Howey, were present to perform the works of Bach.
Also present were Dr. Fagner Rocha and our own Logan Mathews, who collaborated on a string/vocal setting of Wachet Auf (Sleepers Awake).
The event was capped off with a luncheon in the Parish Hall, which was splendidly decorated for the occasion, and enjoyed by many, including our Sr. Warden, Don Dunbar and his wife, Sandra.
