About the Service
This service commemorates the Last Supper, when Jesus gathered with his disciples in an upper room to celebrate the Passover. During the meal, Jesus gave bread and wine to his disciples, telling them to eat and drink in remembrance of him. After we receive Holy Communion, the service will conclude with the Stripping of the Altar, during which all thee items that adorn the sanctuary will be removed in preparation for the stark solemnity of Good Friday.
Music During the Service
O Gracious Light
Now My Tongue the Mystery Telling
Humbly I Adore Thee
Thou, Who At Thy First Eucharist Didst Pray
Go To Dark Gethsemane
Glory Be To Jesus
