Loading...Please join us in this musical celebration of the Advent and Christmas seasons as the Parish Choir and Choral Scholars of Emmanuel Episcopal Church present "A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols” in the tradition of King's College, Cambridge.
The story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus is told in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books, and the Gospels, interspersed with the singing of Christmas carols, hymns, and choral music.
This year's pre-service music features organist Dr. Louellen Meyer, who will present a selection of organ works starting at 4:30pm, so come early to grab a great seat and enjoy the beautiful organ music.
The service will be held at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 3 S. Randolph, on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 5:00pm. This event is free and open to the public.
