Fr. Allan A. Conkling - Rector Father Conkling is a native Texan born in Temple, Texas, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas. His wife, Kelly, also a native Texan, was born in George West, Texas. They have five daughters, most of them grown and away from home. Father Conkling received his Bachelors Degree from Southwest Texas State University, and he received his Masters Degree from St. Mary’s University. He received his Degree in Theology from Sewanee School of Theology. He last calling was as Associate Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in San Antonio. Kelly is also an Episcopal Priest. |

The Reverend Gary Sanford - Deacon Deacon Gary comes to Emmanuel from Wichita, Kansas after 21 years of service with the Wichita Police Department as a motorcycle officer. He and his wife, Eldra, joined Emmanuel in 1999 and Gary is currently involved with several church committees as well as maintaining the parish web site. Deacon Gary is a member of the Community Coalition Committee coordinated by Healthy Families of San Angelo and was elected president of the United Campus Ministries at Angelo State University Board of Trustees for 2008. When not working, Gary enjoys playing trumpet with the San Angelo Community Band |

Dr. James Queen - Choirmaster and Organist James L. Queen has lived in San Angelo most of his life. He spent his childhood here and attended Santa Rita Elementary and Lee Junior High. A graduate of Abilene High School, Dr. Queen holds music education degrees from Baylor University [B.M.E. and M.M.] and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa. He taught choral music and music theory in junior high and high schools in the Waco and Lufkin school districts. He taught music education and conducting at the University of Iowa and taught choral music, organ, and private and class piano at Angelo State University. From the beginning of his teaching career, Dr. Queen has held part-time church music positions as organist, choirmaster, or a combination of both. He has led the music at Emmanuel Church since July 1986. In addition to his work as Choirmaster and Organist at Emmanuel, he maintains a private piano and organ studio. He is an active member and officer of the San Angelo Music Teachers Association. Other professional affiliations include local, state and national choral organizations, music teachers organizations, and the American Guild of Organists. |

Ms. Jane Lewis - Director of Children's Ministries Jane graduated from Austin College with a degree in music and did further graduate work at the University of North Texas. She has been a member of Emmanuel since 1990 when she moved to San Angelo from Nashville. Jane has been the Director of the Emmanuel Junior Choir since 1993 and has been the Director of Children’s Ministries since 2007. In addition to her job at the church, Jane maintains a private voice studio and is the Music Director for the Youth Workshop at Angelo Civic Theater. She has been teaching music to children for more than 20 years and has been active in children’s ministry for even more. Jane is a member of the National Association of Episcopal Christian Education Directors and the Chorister’s Guild. |

Mrs. Susanna Brosseau - Youth Director Susanna and her husband Sean moved to San Angelo from Church of the Holy Comforter in Augusta, Georgia where she served as Youth Director for the parish. Susanna joined the staff of Emmanuel as Youth director in August of 2006 and is excited to continue her youth ministry here in Texas. She and Sean, who is presently in the US Army attached to the language school at Goodfellow AFB, feel very much at home in our community. Susanna attends school at Troy University and plans to graduate with a degree in Psychology in the fall of 2007. |
